Vehicle Detail
This is one of the nicest '71 Cheyenne trucks you will ever have the chance to own. It's a complete frame-off restoration of a rust-free North Carolina truck completed in 2008. Since then I have put about 15K miles of weekend driving around Southern California. For the restoration it was stripped to bare metal and refinished with PPG base / clear in the original medium bronze metallic and white. Paint is very nice. I have the paint codes in case touch up is ever needed. It was painted in pieces and then reassembled. The frame was also disassembled, sandblasted and coated with black DP 90 epoxy. Suspension was upgraded with components from Early Classic Enterprises. It handles like a sports car. Torque Trust with BF Goodrich rubber completes the stance. New GM grille and surround and on and on. New crate ZZ4 355 horse aluminum head motor from GM, and 350 turbo transmission with 373 posi geared rearend. Truck has had a whole lot of money spent on it and it shows. Everything on this truck works including power steering, disc brakes, AM/FM radio (volume scratchy), tech and gauges. Orig bench seat with restored springs, foam insert and OEM houndstooth from Truck Shop in TN. Looks great and very comfortable. Tilt colum too, it has all the desirable toys with the exception of the tach it came with them originally. Options loaded, was the top of the line truck chevy made in '71. More stuff GM Goodmark metal cowl induction hood, Barry Grant ZZ4 Demon carb, ceramic coated D-Port headers, MSD ignition and MSD pro billet distributor, new 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust with X-pipe and Flowmasters, sounds awesome. Glass was also all replaced. Side windows and triangles shopped and restored with new mehanicals and rubber/fuzzys, doors and back are smoke tinted. It is not film but real deal smoke glass just like back in the day. Very cool original GM rubber mats. Beautiful wool carpeting. AC disconnected, needs recharge. Two tiny spots on each door where paint has begun to bubble, easily repaired see photo. Windshield also has a tiny chip the size of a thumbnail. I have owned the truck for the last five years. Odometer shows 70K. I have no clue if that's right however the restoration and new motor have 15,000 miles give or take. It has been to several Goodguys shows and can be driven anywhere with confidence. Truck is located in Los Angeles. Valid and current CA registration and tags.
