Up for sale today is my 1956 chevrolet Belair convertible. This is a project I've been working on for a number of years. These are getting harder and harder to find in any condition.These are excellent investments. I believe about 90% of the parts are present, the obvious needing to be being aquired is carpeting, canvass for top (couldn't decide on black or white) and paint (should be onyx black and white). I have been restoring it to be a very nice driver quality car. Time and money prohibit my completing it. My loss your gain. MECHANICAL car was orignally a six clyinder car which now sports the 265 power pack engine rebuilt engine -Needs final tuneup low milage powerglide transmission (new seals) new trans cooling lines professionally rebuilt and colored carb by Mr Carb (have receipt) new fuel pump new water pump new U-joints new 100 amp alt (will include new orig generator) new dual exhaust with new correct hanger kit radial tires with less than 200 miles on them FRONT END steering linkage is completely rebuilt upgraded idler arm bearing antisway bar kit (not installed) new front coil springs new front and rear shocks FUEL SYSTEM new gas tank new sending unit new fill tube new fuel pump new gas lines BRAKES new dual master clyinder with prop valve new disk brakes in front new disc brakes in rear brakes need to be bled again upgraded wheel bearings new brake lines BODY car has been coated in etching primer (needs to be cleaned) new quarter panels (see pictures) replaced dr side door skin and bottoms floor was repaired by previous owner and is solid, coated with POR15 new body mounts pair of fender skirts CONVERTIBLE TOP new pump/motor new top clyinders new hoses convertible top bow assembly is excellent. Has been painted over a rust and pit free unit. very nice operates as it should includes white conv boot INTERIOR custom leather seats new front and rear seat foam from "CARS INC" seat spring frames cleaned and painted with POR15 new "CARS INC " door panels professionally restored steering wheel new horn ring new sill plates (not installed) new dash bezels new dash insert set radio electronically updated professionally rebuilt heater with new cables car needs to be wired. have a box of new wiring kits from previous owner new firewall pad installed new headlight switch new door and trunk locks and mechanics NOS fuse panel (not installed) new interior rearview mirror new convertible trunk mat (not installed) new electric wiper moror installed and works well (no wipers installed) new heater control valve new heater core EXTERIOR new windshield and gasket new "Gene Smith" tailights assemblies very nice aftermarket cont kit NOS antenna assembly excellent hoodbird new side glass new grill bar new outside mirrors (2) NOS left and right hood bars new grill new turn signal backing plates rechromed front and rear bumpers and bumperetttes new hood and trunks emblems new hood and trunk vees T3 headlights exterior stainless buffed to driver quality sheetmetal has been installed. Will new final alignment trim has been installed to show it's all there, new clips have been used so it can easily removed for painting box of new hardware mounting kits Brand new 'Mark I4' air conditioning kit will be included with 'Buy it now" Project cars are very hard to describe, I sugggest you come and check it out or send someone on your behalf. There is still a lot of work to do on this car. The car has not been driven yet, only worked on.
