1969 Ford 250 Good Humor Ice Cream Truck: I am listing my 1969 Ford 250 Good Humor Ice Cream Truck. This truck has been in my family for around 10 years. I ran it as a ice cream truck for seven years. The cooler compressor, and the cold plates still work. The truck has recently turned over a ran for a short while. It needs some start up maintenance (body work, oil change, spark plugs, batteries, ect.). The leaf spring shocks were bolstered with an air shock system, a retractible stop sign was added as an additional safety measure, and the drum brakes were replaced with modern disc brakes. It as power steering, and most of the electronics work including running lights, neon, and most of the gauges. I recently replaced the carburetor. From what i hear there are only around 1000 of these still in existence. This is a classic truck and needs a little tlc to become a fully operational vehicle again. The odometer only has 5 spaces so its milage is unknown, but being an ice cream truck I think it is close to 200,000 miles. However, the motor was rebuilt five years ago and was only commercially ran for two years after that. The trucks title was in my fathers name and was never completely switched over because I missed classic inspection deadline while moving it from one state to another. So, there will be some communication that will need to occur so that the title can be placed into your name. It is $100-$300 dollars (in N.C.) to file the indemnity bond, so keep that in mind during bidding. I will include a detailed notarized bill of sale, the registration baring my name, and any additional assistance in securing the title.
