Vehicle Detail
I am listing my fathers 69 Chevy Malibu. This is an amazingly complete and mechanically fresh car with solid original car that is very complete down to it's original interior and vinyl top. It has been gone thru completely and is mechanically fresh throughout including a upgraded 12 bolt, SS sway bars, performance turbo 350 trans, and non-original 327 350hp small block. This car drives better than new. With some panel replacement and a new paint job it could be a show winning car. I can't emphasize how complete and original this car is. It has obvious rust in the rear quarters and could use new front fenders but it a amazingly solid other than those area. No structural rust, good fender wells, good body mounts and frame. It's a great car other than the obvious issues in the pictures. My father just doesn't want to start another full on restoration project right now and he doesn't drive the car enough to keep it around. Here's some details on the car. BODY (Good): -Original marina blue car with what looks to be the original vinyl top that is still in decent shape -Solid original floors with only one small repair done behind the drivers seat area. -New trunk floor done with proper new replacement panels -OEM steel SS hood -All chrome, trim, grill, lights are there and in good usable condition. This car looks to have never been disassembled -No rust in window surrounds, package tray, or dash areas -All side / rear glass and window regulators are in good shape and work smoothly BODY (Bad): -looks to have had one older repaint in the original colors and then someone trying to start some dent repair since then -Rear quarters are gone below the revel line but that is the only rust there is in the back -front fenders show rust and some poor patch work from a previous owner. -left rocker panel was replaced in the past and does not seal against the door properly -windshield is cracked -bumpers show some rust but should be repairable INTERIOR: - original white vinyl bench seats, door panels, and headliner (drivers seat has some tears) - original black carpet is in decent shape (some wear but not ripped/torn) - NOS full length rubber floor mats -Factory A/C car. I have all under dash vent ducts and controls that had been removed. Complete system minus the compressor and hoses -Autometer water temp / oil press / fuel press gauges and tach -Original unmolested dash (aluminum panels made to cover radio and temp controls but can easily go back to stock) -B&M Pro Ratchet shifter CHASSIS: -completely gone thru mechanically to make sure everything is tight and operational -freshly rebuild year correct 12 bolt posi with 4.10 gears -SS rear sway bar and boxed lower control arms -OEM (non-SS)front sway bar -manual steering gear box (have original PS unit as well) -4 wheel manual drum brakes -15x7 and 15x8 GM Rally wheels + 2 more 15x8's with slicks mounted on them DRIVETRAIN: -low mileage 327 SBC (350hp cam and pistons) -441 casting double hump 2.02 heads -Weiand Hi-Rise intake with Edelbrock carb -full length headers with 3" Flowmaster mufflers -very fresh TH350 performance trans with 2800 stall converter
