Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Bonneville convertible,it runs great and could drive anywhere. it has power steering, power brakes, non ac,tops bad, covers new. i would drive this as is! perfect 30 footer, not fancy, but great car! , car is from Cincinnati area. story i got was that this was a professors car at xavier college , car was in the garage for 25 years, stored with a tarp over it. while the car is super solid in the frame floors and pillar area, it has the spots you would expect from a stored old car.dash was bad and loker rockers need welded up.very nominal work for a 66 ohio car.you can tell it was pampered.. previous owner bought the car from the lady, did all the brakes right, and some minor mechanical work on it. he drove it around and hit the local car shows, where it held its own.how many origonal nice interiors have you ever seen? and solid floor pans on a convertible? this ones are near flawless!. the trunk has rust as is normal on these. i have the 2 patches i will weln in for the owner if he wishes not to replace the floor pan. i would patch it,por-15 it,and put down a mat, done enough for a driver. it drives down the road nice, floats like a boat, love these big Pontiac's ride! when we got it we pulled it in repaired the windshield area, replaced the glass, , titled it and were going to use it for our cruiser, problem is we have 7project cars here to do and not enough room.. so were going to list all 7 and see if we can move a couple f them.. so if your into these big Pontiac, go to my store, were in northwest Ohio by Toledo, we welcome you to come see the car in person if that's not possible try calling me and i can give a better description. car could be driven as is with no problem, it wouldn't take much more than the typical $5,000 paint job/ body work to make this a $15,000 to $25,000 car. if it doesn't sell i will probably paint it over the winter. its that nice a car! doesn't seem to have been abused, real nice solid old ride! the one tire needs mentioned.it was side swiped and has a dink.its shown. guy said he drove ie all summer no problems.not bent or warped..car starts right up and drives.just needs wiring for the head and taillights finished.when i welded donor dash in the whole dash was removed, and is just sitting there to be restored or re installed as is. if its going to be just driven as is,i will get them together for you, take me a day. If this car reaches over $7,000 i will weld the metal plates in the trunk! i just haven't done it in case someone wants to replace the full trunk pan! we can also restore about anything else needed to the car here before it leaves since we are also a restoration shop!
