3 DAY LISTING SHORT SALE!! 1966 ford fairlane station wagon. VERY solid and a super candidate for restore/custom... THE BASICS : registered daily driver that is ready for some real attention. it is my "shop" hauler and have had it now for around 5 years and has been in use off and on most of that time...is currently my daily driver but it is in need for some attention beyond just use as it is pretty much all in original condition. (i have done very little to it at all in the time i have had it other than use it.) this is NOT a restored car or a garage queen BUT is extremely sound/rustfree and a REAL good attention getter... this is an original c code 289 automatic car...it currently has a 1966 200 inline 6/auto out of another fairlane which has been in it for all the time i have been driving it. (was going to put a 351 w in it but the good gas mileage from the 200 has kept it from happening). runs very good, auto works great...took it to reno a few years ago and got 29 mpg hwy. leaks oil/drips on driveway, could probably use a tune up. auto shifts great. body is ORIGINAL paint and VERY solid. floors, spare tire well, rear cargo hold as well as bottom of tailgate are rock solid. NO rust. is a little rust thru left wheel lip (pictured) from trim being pinched at that point. (some time past). is some minor rust in core support from battery. some dings/dents in places as to be expected but for 45plus yrs not bad. right front fender is a replacement from some front end damage at some point in past...core support/inner fender show some effects too. not bad but there, it has always driven down the road straight and true. windshield needs replaced, all other glass is good. tailgate glass is great and electric, works with key as well as dash switch. needs balljoints, and bushings and shocks...it rattles/squeeks over bumps...it does NOT ride like a new lincoln. interior is decent/livable but is due for complete redo. THOSE ARE THE BASICS...no point in going on about details, check out pics and decide for yourself OR welcome to ask anything. (208) 890-4294 car is for sale locally... VERY hard to find solid body 66...wagons are cool and the 66-7 fairlanes are IMO close to the coolest for "intermidiates" this thing still gets a ton of attention. wouldn't be selling it but have other wagon projects.
