1968 Pontiac Bonneville Executive, 2.door hardtop. 400 engine with automatic transmission. Great running and driving car with no mechanical issues. Engine runs quiet and smooth with no noises or smoke. Does not burn or leak oil. Transmission shifts great with stiff gear changes and no slipping. Body in really good shape with only a few small areas where previous body work is starting to come through. Paint is only a few years old and original color. I bought the car 5 years ago as a complete and original daily driver that needed a restoration. The car was left at a local body shop where they were going to work on it when the shop was slow. Three years later I took the car back painted but not put back together. The shop lost a few of the trim pieces in the process. One section of side moulding is missing along with one side marker light and some of the trim letters. Other than that the exterior is complete. The interior is in fair shape. I replaced the dash pad with a black one as this was the only one I could find anywhere. Three years ago it cost me $450.00. The seats need to be recovered. The top of the front seats and bottom of back seat are good the other sections are rough. The headliner is removed and needs to be replaced. The new one I had with the car was lost by the same shop. The floors and frame are in perfect shape with no issues at all. The trunk floor has a decent amount of surface rust and some spots of rust through. This is only in the trunk as all other areas are perfect. This is a great looking and pretty rare classic. This car is a perfect mix of luxury and muscle. Great style and one of a kind looks. During my long and frustrating attempt to restore this car I acquired a few others and now don't have the space or the patience to finish this one. This car is too cool to be left almost complete.
