1985 AMC Eagle Wagon Unique driver or restoration project! This is a 1985 AMC Eagle Wagon, 258 straight 6, automatic transmission, and select-shift 4wd. Approximately 110,000 miles (odometer is now broken, title reads just over 107k) and in clean original condition. It runs, shifts, and stops well. All lights/turn signals work and the glass is good, tires are fine also. I drove it about 2 hours home after picking it up and have driven it almost every day since early June. It does need a few things: - The brakes do make some noise but it's nothing that interferes with driving- The carb could stand to be rebuilt or replaced. It starts fine but is a little sluggish at idle in drive; again nothing that interferes with driving- The transmission pan does leak, I add about 1/2 quart of ATF every 2 weeks or so. The transmission does shift fine into all gears- The drivers side rear door handle (exterior) is broken, common issue with AMC paddle-style handles- The rear hatch lock occasionally sticks- The glove box lock is broken- There are some minor spots of surface rust (see pics) and the interior could use more cleaningThis is a solid driver that I had planned to keep, but I'll be away on military duty for awhile and then will be starting a new job with a longer commute. Unfortunately the Eagle won't be the best for that and I don't have room to keep it as an extra. Feel free to touch base with any questions or to set up a time to see/drive it, if you're local.
