I purchased this vehicle new from Anchorage Nissan in Anchorage, Alaska in March 1989. It has almost always been kept under cover so the original leather interior is still in almost perfect condition. It has never been in an accident. The original paint is showing wear but still does the job and there is no rust. The T-top does not leak. The car has all original parts and equipment except the muffler which was replaced about 12 years ago. This includes the Z rims, the 300ZX floor mats and the tonneau cover which I believe was unique to the 1988 hatchback version. Everything works except the cassette player and the primary gas gauge. The only mechanical problem I'm aware of is the turbo cooler lines leak oil. In 1996 there was a recall order on the emissions system which replaced a number of elements but I've never had a problem passing emissions testing before or since. Over the years it has been tested in Anchorage, Las Vegas, Boise and last year in Caldwell, ID where the car is currently located. The fuel pump was rebuilt about 7 years ago and it still starts right up even in cold weather. The air conditioner was recharged about 3 years ago. The tires are good with at least 50% tread. The current battery was purchased new last summer.
