1950 Buick Super Riviera 2 Door HardtopNO RESERVE This auction is for a complete and original 1950 Buick Super Riviera 2 Door Hardtop. This car has been sitting for many years and needs to be restored. The body is very straight and I don't see any rust on the exterior. The exterior chrome and stainless are all there and in decent shape. The chrome window frames and vent window frames are in great shape. The windshield is not cracked or chipped and the three piece back window is in great shape as well. The left (drivers side) door glass is cracked and the left rear side glass is not cracked but it's like the layer of whatever they use to make it safety glass has melted, anyway it will need replaced as well. All the other glass is good. The original straight eight engine is free but I have never tried to start it, however the previous owner said he had it running by pouring gas down the carburetor. It has the dynaflow transmission. The interior is complete with all the door panel trim pieces, door handles, window cranks, headliner bows etc. but obviously needs to be redone. The steering wheel is in nice shape with just a couple of small cracks. The dash is complete with nice clean gauge faces and trim. The center dash chrome has pitting. The seats have covers over the original upholstery but are very deteriorated and will need to be completely rebuilt. The trunk is very solid. The front floor is rusted completely through and the rear is very weak. The floors are rusted from having wet padding and carpet on them. The only other rust I can find is just forward of the rear wheels where the rear fenders bolt on. My last two photos show this area. The rest of the car appears to be very solid. This car is being sold as is, where is, in non-running condition. It is ultimately up to the winning bidder to pick up or arrange shipping. I can keep and store the car for up to 30 days from auction end date as long as payment is made in full within seven days.
