1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible Vintage Autohaus and Imports is proud to present this 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible. Previous owner cared for this car for over 25 years with receipts dating back to 1986, Prior to that we have a picture of the vehicle with the original owner from 1956. The correct Rocket 324 V8 has been rebuilt. This engine runs strong. The correct Jet-A-Way Hydro- Matic transmission shifts smooth. The original body has no rust and the sheet metal is very straight with all panels that fit well. All the stainless and chrome is in good shape with no signs of pitting. All dash chrome is very good with no issues. The Rockers, Pans, and Braces are in very good original condition with no patches or replacements and no signs of rust. Only showing normal surface rust, with light undercoat you can still see oxidized panels. The paint is older in Festival Red and Alcan White. Upon close examination the paint is now showing signs of lacquer checking. A new paint job is not necessary to enjoy this car. We received the car with its original interior which was in good condition. We professionally installed new interior that matches its original type and color. The Power top bows and frame are straight and in very good working condition. The top is new with no issues and the plastic glass is very clear. All new trunk lining and trim has been professionally installed with spare, jack, and tools. The vehicle is equipped with Power Steering, Power Top, and all gauges functional. This is a very original car that has been cared for and maintained over the years. This would be a great car to own and enjoy.
