PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE AD AND VIEW ALL PHOTOS BEFORE BIDDING, You’ll be glad you did. Up for auction is my beautiful 1996 BMW 328i convertible. I am the 3dr owner of this BMW. The auto check shows I’m the 5th owner but it has only been owned by 3 families and I’m the 3rd. This car has always been adult driven, garaged and very well maintained. It has never been modified, molested or abused in any way. This is one of the most sought after BMWs that enthusiasts are looking for. It has the 190 horsepower inline 6 coupled with a 5 speed transmission. This is one of, if not the most, bullet proof set ups that BMW has ever manufactured. It’s not at all unusual to see these engines with well over 300,000 miles logged in. Any certified BMW mechanic can verify this. This one is not close to being broken in yet with 84,000 miles on it. I’ve owned 3 BMWs and if you’ve been searching for a low mileage E 36 at a fair price you know how hard it is to find one. This BMW looks,drives and handles like it just came off the showroom floor. Very tight and solid. My reason for selling is that an opportunity has come my way to purchase a BMW M 5 and I hate to pass it up. If not for that I would drive this one until the cows came home. Below I will break down the car into 3 catagories and rate each one on a scale of 1- 10. Ten being the best condition. 1: Paint and body—This is the original paint on this car ( code 309 Silver ) and it appears to have just been painted yesterday. It’s absolutely beautiful. The body, always being a southern car except for being purchased in New Jersey has always been away from all salt. It is in as new condition. No bug rash in front and of course no rust of any kind anywhere. The underside looks as good as the top side. No scratches at all. Allways hand washed. This car has not been in any type of accident ever. When I said she was showroom I meant it. I would have to rate the paint and body at least a 9.9. 2. Interior and top: - As you can see from the photos, the top is in as new condition, absolutely no ware anywhere. The rear window was replaced about 6 months ago by the BMW dealership and is scratch free. ( see photos ). The convertible headliner is perfect. The top is power and operates just as it did when new. She goes down and up as fast as a new BMW convertible. The leather interior is beautiful. The only ware showing is the bolster on the drivers side has a tad of ware from getting in and out of the car. It is so minor that it’s barely noticeable. ( See photos ). The carpet and floor mats are as new. The dash is as new. She’s equipped with climate control with settings for driver and passenger. The air is ice cold and the heat is as hot as you want it. She also has heated seats which work great. She has an onboard computer which monitors every function of the car. She is equipped with the best and most sought after sound system that you could get in an E 36. It has the Blaupunkt CD RDS business radio. This was a $918.00 extra. It sounds awesome. Best of all, this car has NEVER been SMOKED in EVER. She has every option available including roll over protection and all options operate as new. There again I have to give the top and interior a solid 9.9 rating. Mechanics:- The car has been very well cared for mechanically. It always had regular services using nothing but synthetic fluids. It had the stage two BMW service at 74,000 miles. Plugs changed, belts replaced, hoses replaced, oxygen sensors replaced, brake fluid flushed, new Bosch wiper blades and the list goes on. The battery was replaced about 3 months ago. The car also has new front ceramic brake pads on the front and the rear have 60% ware left. I just installed 4 new Goodyear tires. The full size spare has never been on the ground and remains in the trunk. All BMW tools are in the tool kit in the trunk ( See photo ). I just had a full service done so it won’t need another for some time to come. As I mentioned before this is the most bullet proof engine you can buy. Ask any BMW enthusiast or BMW mechanic. The car runs, drives and handles just as a BMW should which is fantastic. It has a very strong engine and very strong clutch. It gets great gas mileage. Of course there is absolutely no oil usage or dripping whatsoever. The engine has never been steam cleaned and there’s not a bit of oil leakage whatsoever. This section has to get a SOLID 10 rating. As far as my price goes, NADA clean book is just under $8,000.00, but if you read the NADA definition of clean book value, this car far exceeds that. You can find one less expensive but it won’t be as nice as this one. If you have good luck bidding you can own it for less than book value. I appreciate you taking the time to read my ad. I know it was lengthy but I like the bidder to know what he or she is bidding on. I have 2 sets of keys and a valet key. I have the BMW build sheet and the warranty records from BMW. I have all manuals that came with the car and a clear Georgia title. E-bay does not give a free Auto Check with the listings any longer. If you are interested enough to order one I will gladly reimburse you your cost if you purchase the car provided you bring me the receipt. At auction end there will be a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit due payable through Pay-Pal. The balance will be due within 7 days of auction end payable in cash or bank cashiers check.
