Purchased new at Caves Ford-Mercury in Reedley California in 1966. Was family's daily small town transportation until early 1990's then became sunny-day Sunday only driver. Very original car with just over 105k original miles. Runs and drives well. It's a real time machine! Single repaint in original (Code 5) Signal Flare Red in 1995. Very nice original RUST FREE body-NEVER wrecked or molested. Very nice mostly original black standard interior with optional center console. Original 289 V8 upgraded to 4V induction and original 3-speed manual transmission. Five original FORD Styled Steel Wheels with NEW P205/70R14 radial tires (less than 50 miles). Have clear California title on hand-Please bid with confidence! BODY: This quality Mustang retains ALL of its' original body panels and has never been wrecked or modified. Car has perfect California rust-free floor pans and trunk Above average body and paint show very well. Factory Ford bumpers have been re-chromed. All trim is in excellent condition. Retains all original FoMoCo Carlite glass (including windshield). INTERIOR: Has been sympathetically maintained as new. Retains all original upholstery except for repaired driver's seat. Carpets, door panels and armrests have been replaced with high quality factory-style replacements. Gauge bezel, heater plenum, core and hoses have been recently updated. Equipped with optional Ford am radio, center console and deluxe push-button seat belts with dash mounted warning lamp. Car was ordered with and still retains optional Deluxe wood grain steering wheel as well. Fold down seat area with rear access door complete and in excellent working condition. ENGINE: Well maintained and fully detailed original 289 V8 engine and engine compartment. Upgraded 4V induction includes aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake and Autolite 4100 4V carburetor rebuilt by Pony Carburetors. Engine upgraded with Cobra dress-up Kit option including Cobra Powered by Ford finned valve covers. Recent rebuilt distributor, new ignition wires and components, new water pump, refurbished radiator and alternator, new battery, belts and factory-style radiator hoses. Engine and surrounding compartment have been detailed as new including hardware and gray phosphated hood hinges and latch. Car has been upgraded to dual exhaust. (Original engine parts included at buyers request) TRUNK: Excellent rust free trunk was resealed and painted and equipped with new factory-style heavy duty plaid mat. Retains original spare wheel with new radial tire. New fuel tank and sending unit have been installed to improve reliability.
