RARE rolling and functioning vintage 940 that still has its charms. One of the few that "Cash for Clunkers" didn't destroy back in 2009. This is my personal Volvo, I'm not a dealer. I'm back in "MInivan Land", so the 940 Volvo no longer fits my needs. If I were Jay Leno, I'd keep it as a spare. I've owned this Volvo since August of 2006. Complete new exhaust from manifold to tail-pipe. New fuel pump 15K miles ago. This volvo is really solid and has a smooth drive. Interior is much better than average for the vintage. Great on steep hills going up. Hood has discolorations, but otherwise, body is in good shape. All windows, locks and doors work. Sunroof is inoperative and sealed shut with NO Leaks. Brakes are decent all around. Tires have good tread left. Upgraded Center Console Storage is deeper and more padded than standard, and at a better height as a functional arm-rest. Even the air-conditioning actually works! Most of the air conditioning system has been replaced. Not easy on these old Volvo's but my mechanic specializes in hard to fix electrical and air. Look around at similar vintage on the road on hot days, the windows will almost always be open... but not on this one, you'll have working AIR! Radio is original vintage and working with security code provided and great sound. The engine is the 940 Vintage that still has the longevity of the prior 740's with steel engines that are measured in several hundreds of thousands of miles. This car is still a teenager by that standard. You can have an ebay shipping company pick it up and send it to your door. I'll coordinate with your shipper. Note: car carrier will have to navigate under subway overpasses here in NYC, I'll provide clearance info. $500 due within 48 hours of winning bid.
