Up for your consideration is a very worthy restoration candidate. A VERY early production 1965 Mustang Fastback. Produced Early in Feburary 1965, only a month after they started production on the Fastback. The numbers in the vin say it all. It was one of the earliest fastbacks made. Its also an A code 4 barrel Manual 4 speed with power steering and console. Another nice thing is that it is a J code color which is the rangoon red with black interior that is all original except for carpet (that is a cheap aftermarket). It also needs a new dash pad. The rest of the interior is presentable as is but would look great freshened up. The paint is definately an amatuer job at best and the passenger quarter panel as pictured has a dent. The car does start and run but has no brakes. I havent really investigated this and it may be a simple fix or it could need new brakes all together. The motor shows well and it has a newer battery. The car also has newer tires. The bumpers could be cleaned up but replacing them would be better, there are numerous old bumper stickers on the rear bumper that have baked on. There is some bubbling on the bottom of the passenger door and there are some patches on both front floor sections. The trunk is solid as is the cowl. I am sure I am forgetting some things but overall this is a very cool restoration candidate a diamond in the rough but very worthy of seeing the road again. Ask any and all questions before bidding. My reserve is very realistic for this economy and for what this car has to offer. Clear title. Thanks and good luck!!!
