Vehicle Detail
1984 Ford C700 Cab Over Flatbed Truck Rated for 24,000 lbs. (No CDL required!) 370ci Ford Industrial gas V8. Allison 4sp. Automatic transmission I've had the truck for roughly 5 years now, and just don't use it that often any more. I used it to haul my Jeep back and forth to an offroad park (about an hour each way) and being that I don't go that often anymore, I just can't see keeping it around. I bought it as just a cab chassis. In the time Ive owned it, this is what I've done. - Built and wired the bed (3 years ago) - Put 4 brand new drive tires on it ($1100 worth!!) (last spring) - Installed a new R/R parking brake expander (2 years ago) - Completely cleaned out the L/S fuel tank (last spring) - Installed replacement edelbrock 625cfm carburetor (2 years ago) - Installed inline electric fuel pump as a backup (last spring) - 2 all aluminum 9 foot ramps rated @ 7k lbs. (only 40lbs a piece!) The front tires are in very good shape. The brakes are in great condition all the way around. It runs absolutely 100%. Fires up every time, even after sitting for months. I just changed the oil a few weeks ago. The only things that I would consider repairing are some rust spots in the cab, (the frame is perfect), little bit of an oil leak @ the oil filter adapter, the r/s fuel tank is not hooked up (needs cleaned out) and the R/S exhaust manifold gasket is leaking out of the front a bit. (have the gasket, will go with the truck) Otherwise it really is a great truck. Fun to drive, and definitely turns some heads. Not to mention you'll never over-load it. Like I said, the only reason I'm selling is because I can't justify keeping it around just to sit and do nothing. I would consider trades for a heavy 1/2 - 3/4 ton pickup. (need something to tow my 23' boat with) Does't need to be 4wd, but would prefer a manual transmission. Let me know. *** If the buy it now option is used, I will include a BRAND NEW, in the box 9,ooo lb. winch for no additional charge. Otherwise it NOT included unless other arrangements are made!! *** Feel free to email with any questions, or call (7one7) Three7nine - 32nine6. I'd be happy to answer them. On Aug-11-12 at 11:26:03 PDT, seller added the following information: *** IN THE INTEREST OF FULL DISCLOSURE *** I just brought the truck out of storage and over to the house, and found that the fuel gauge and the oil pressure gauge are not functional. Now that being said, I can guarantee that the truck has no oil pressure issues, just that the sending unit is not hooked up. Also, the fuel gauge sending unit in the tank is functional (I checked with my ohm meter) just need to be wired to the gauge apparently. It hasn't worked since I've had it, and I forgot to mention it until I was actually driving it today. Ran very well though, and drove half an hour back just fine. My apologies for not mentioning it sooner. PLEASE! Don't hesitate to ask questions! This truck is not perfect, and neither am I! I just don't want anyone to be disappointed, or feel like I intentionally left something out. I've gotten the shaft on here a few times already (Just recently as a matter of fact).. don't want to see it happen to anyone else. Thanks,-Pat
