You are bidding on a great zippy rebuilt 1978 Datsun 280z. A real attention getter, but more importantly, a great car for those enthusiast that long for a simple, straight-forward sports car....no power steering, no power windows and no computerized bells and whistles! To my knowledge I am the third owner - the second owner is my long-time mechanic and friend who took 2 years to meticulously re-build it in his garage. He had to sell it last year (and I had been bugging him to sell it to me), and now I am selling because I just bought 2 new cars and have no more space! It is in good condition as the pictures reflect. There is no rust under the chassis. Body is black and hood/hatch may need repaint at some point. There are some rust lines along the inside of rear hatch that may need some attention also. Banana wheels and tires are like new. Interior is basic Datsun except for a customized steering wheel & and a Clarion sound system (DVD). A/C works great. Engine is in fine condition - no leaks - and runs like winner with great power. 5 Speed manual with rebuilt clutch, new struts all around produces race car like performance.
