Vehicle Detail

For sale I have my 1980 VW Rabbit Truck Diesel. It has a new rebuild 1.6 diesel engine from a newer Rabbit diesel with the 12mm larger stretch head bolts. The earlier version engines are known to have head gasket failures due to undersized head bolts from the factory. The engine has currently 500 miles since installation, and is running beautiful. It has been bored and honed for over sized pistons, the block as been decked for eventual deck distortions, and reassembled with new bearings, oil pump and gaskets. Head is rebuilt too, with new guides exhaust valves, valve grind, and re-surfaced for best gasket match. Water pump and hoses are replaced too, all the clutch assembly replaced with original Sachs parts, and the gear box is been reconditioned about 2 years ago. Originally the truck had a 4 speed and now is upgraded to a 5 speed with all new shift bushings and rod links. I replaced the engine mounts and it idles and runs smooth and quiet now. Upgraded the glow plugs system with fast burn plugs for quick cold starts." No more one minute of silence" Breaks are all fine with plenty of pads left in the front and rears. I installed new E-break cables because they where deteriorated. I replaced all the exhaust hangers. All the rear bearings are repacked with grease and the front ones have been replaced recently and are tight and smooth. Axels are re-packed with good dust boots. Ty-rods are tight with new dust boots. All tires are in top shape mounted on 13" alloy rims from a Vw Cabriolet Radiator and all coolant system inspected and cleaned, replaced heater valve. All the electrical system is working fine. At this point the truck is in great shape and has no issues at all. It is mechanically sound, and I tryed to cover any possible issues. The body was painted 4 month ago, with all the windows removed. It had no body damage but the original paint was very deteriorated and ugly. We found some rust on the lower side of the windshield bead but got sandblasted clean and treated with self etching primer and other coats to protect the metal. All the body seams got cleaned and re-sealed with new seam sealer to prevent any corrosion in the future. All the paint product that have been used are quality main brands 2K Urethane from DuPont. The original dash was replaced because of deterioration with a newer 83 Jetta Diesel. The original mileage of the truck is unknown. The cluster was not working. The replacement instrument cluster from the Jetta is at 167k now. I hope I covered most of the important details on the truck but if you have some more question please feel free to ask and I will try to answer in my best knowledge.
