Vehicle Detail
Hello,I am listing this beauty for a friend's widow,my friend Tim purchased this car to some day enjoy cruising and making new friends in retirement, unfortunately his plans didn't come to fruition.Tim passed in his sleep 4 years ago at only 59 years of age and never really got drive the car at all,in the time that he owned it the car was in one shop after another being freshened back up to a very nice driver vehicle.Tim's wife has decided its time to let the car go to a new owner to appreciate and move on in life, this is Your opportunity to enjoy this great car.The LeMans was purchased from its original owner and a got a letter stating the mileage was Actual, currently shows 33,336,Rosemary nor I have any way to validate this but we also have no reason to not believe this to be true. The overall condition of the car when purchased was good driver, local mileage, minimal wear and tear. All exterior sheet metal, frame, interior and motor-trans are original, the car was factory dark blue with a black vinyl top,Tim had the top removed, minor nicks and dents repaired and a new paint job done just before he passed. The color is Marina Turquoise, other non-factory equipment added was a 4 bbl. carb and Edelbrock manifold, dual exhaust and very nice set of Rally Wheels and new tires, this car Runs Great,Sounds Great and Drives well. The interior is in very nice condition, vinyl on bucket seats, rear seat and door panels look hardly sat in,all completely original, nice console& shifter and all other interior parts look great. The engine compartment is probably the number one area that will require some TLC and detail but minmal work needed. The trunk area has been redone at the same time the car's exterior was painted, looks very good, all exterior chrome trim looks very good and there only seems to have been a couple of areas around the windshield and pillars that will require some added work to finish exterior.Overall there isn't any real rusted areas or structural problems, frame is orignal and not restored, only surface rust in some places. Not quite sure what more I could add to description but I will do my best to answer any questions you might have,Please feel free to call me at 586-212-8628 9-9 est. or Email,Thanks GaryOn Aug-05-12 at 05:10:26 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTN: So far I've received many questions in regard to condition and price,I can't really add too much about the cars condition, its pretty much an original car as far as sheet metal,frame,interior,drive-train,etc.,it was repainted when the factory vinyl top was removed but very little body preparation was necessary, there was no real rust. Also would like to add that I am not quoting any buy-it-now price but will consider all serious offers,so far we have received alot of good interest and offers but the current owner is not interested in any types of trades or partial trades,Please feel free to contact me with any and all questions,ThanksOn Aug-08-12 at 16:42:15 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTN: The owner has decided to let the auction run til the end, place your best bids and Good Luck!,Thanks for all of the questions and offers,we really appreciate the interest,Gary
