Vehicle Detail

For sale here is a 1969 AMC American Rambler 2dr post sedan (less engine and trans) and any parts or all of what remains of a second 1969 American Rambler 2dr. post sedan. I bought these cars about six weeks ago mainly for the 232 engine and trans which I put into my wife's 1964 American convertible. This could be someone's Scrambler clone project or further disassembled for parts. The car has fairly solid floors and trunk with some rusting in the usual places. (see pics). The tires and spare are good and it has the special AMC rims and rings of that period. I was told the rear brake cylinder is out but with a little effort this could be a nice driver for someone at a decent price. Even though I took the aforementioned engine and trans, I left the radiator and everything else intact as much as possible. I have another t-35 auto trans and rebuildable 199 engine available with this transaction at no extra charge (it came with the blue car). The windshield has a small crack in it but there is a tinted windshield in good shape on the blue car. In fact all the glass on the blue car is tinted and is also available with the gold car at no extra charge. The blue car itself is not much more than a rusted hulk but there are some doo-dads on it that might be desirable. I plan to junk the hulk out after the new owner takes what he wants from it. The blue car has no title but the gold car's title is free and clear. Everything will have to be trailered or trucked out of here Nothing will move on its own power. I will move the gold car (and the blue car for that matter) for the price of fuel up to 100 miles from my location. I am about ten west of I55 & I80 Near Minooka, IL if you want to drive here and have a look. I've sold two cars this summer already and the buyers were very happy with their purchases (see my feedback 100%) Email with questions. Thanks for looking. At some point someone took some time to add some sheet metal and fiberglass and repaint the old thing. I still believe you could drop an engine in and drive it for a few years but it would be a bodyman's nightmare to try and save it. It is starting to rust in the frame member right by the passenger foot well where the frame goes up. The driver's side is solid yet. On the good side the car is mostly complete. The mechanicals are 98% there. The door panels, sunvisors, arm rests, and seats are nice (at least the stuffing isn't coming out of the seats yet). The color is white with black trim. I never realized the popularity of these cars or I would have just parted them out. I hope that in the end everyone is happy with what they buy. I DO NOT want you to be dissatisfied. If you have the least bit of doubt don't bid or retract your bid if you are unsure. I will try to answer questions as honestly as I can. I have a set of detailed images of the underneath I can now send to you so email: mooney@cbcast.com BTW i had a nice man here today with his son and I sold him the rear window frame which he cut out from the blue car's hulk. He was well versed in this model of cars and told me all of the good things that are left. The blue car is, and has been, mostly incomplete so whatever is left the winner of this auction can have. I'll be happy to take whatever is left after that to the junkyard.
