This car sold new at Star Motors in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. It was serviced at their Mercedes dealership from day one, as verified by the filled out warranty booklet with the car. This is a well-maintained example finished in black with original tan leather interior. It is an exceptionally low mileage example ready to own and enjoy. VIDEO BELOW / PRESS PLAY VIDEO ABOVE / PRESS PLAY The exterior showcases a deep black finish in good condition throughout. There are some chip touch-ups and paint flaws on an otherwise exceptional car. The interior showcases the original tan leather interior and factory wood grain througout. The dash is free of the typical dash cracks found in this ear Mercedes-Benz. This is a garage-kept example and it is reflected in its condition. The original books and manuals are included along with two convertible top tools. The upholstery is in beautiful condition throughout. The air conditioning blows cold and the stereo works correctly as do the power windows. The factory first aid kit is also in place. The odometer is functional, as is the speedometer. The 66K approximately mileage is confirmed by the original service log with the car. The factory 15-inch alloy wheels are fitted with correct Pirelli tires sized at 205/65/14 all around. This dealer-maintained example boasts an exceptional drivetrain. The 4-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the steering is excellent. Further inspection of the engine compartment reveal clean and detailed original components and sheetmetal throughout complete with factory decals, markings, and identification plates. The soft convertible top is original to the car. It seals up well throughout. The black plastic window is also intact. The factory door panels are clean and detailed. The door undersides are solid as well. This is a beautiful classic Mercedes-Benz. The 560SL would be the last and greatest of the illustrious W107 Mercedes chassis. The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with the spare alloy whee/tire and jacking equipment. The undercarriage is a further testament to the dry climate condition of this 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL Convertible. The underbody is in good shape, highlighted by a clean engine, flooring, and the original exhaust system. The muffler is showing some wear, but sounds smooth still. In May of this year, the a/c unit was completely gone over at Ferraris and More. The system was converted to 134A and there is a new dryer and the compressor, clutch and coil were replaced.
