I am listing this car for a second time (271021815023). It came fairly close to my Reserve first time so I have slightly reduced what I will sell it for. If it does not sell this time, I will wait until next Spring when the market is stronger. Please look at the pictures close because this car has tremendous eye appeal and draws a crowd wherever I take it. DON'T MISS OUT! This is a totally restored 1970 Beetle dressed to resemble a '60's car. This VW was a body off restoration with new floor pan and stripped to bare metal where needed. Professionally finished in VW Marina Blue with off-white interior and top. Just about every item is new or refurbished. The paint is a 10 out of 10, there are no scratches, dents, runs, orange-peel or overspray. The car starts up and runs perfect. Engine, clutch assembly, brakes and much more have all been refurbished. I can't verify milege as I simply don't know. The car was restored by a Restoration Shop for the owner's wife then an unfortunate circumstance prevented her from ever using it, but it was done with TLC as this was going to be her car. Just enough early items have been added to make it appear to be a '60's VW (Painted dash with the chrome strips, white knobs, correct interior door handles, correct looking radio, brand new Wide whitewall tires, spade type bumpers with over-riders, restored steering wheel, German muffler with stainless tips, and more). All the lights work, gas gauge and tank are new, brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, lines, glass, weatherstrip (doors, windows, top, front & rear hoods) and much more are all new. All the locks work, the windows all roll up and down, turn signals, horn, wipers, by now you can see this is not an amateur restoration. Again, it was to be for the owner's wife. Also included is a steering column mounted flashlight and a VERY RARE BLAUPUNKT PICNIC RADIO. Just a nice touch for the nostalgia aspect. The top was just put on by a high end upholstery shop and includes the headliner, insulation padding, NEW WOOD BOWS, restored metal frame, new cables, all rubber weather stripping and a new matching boot. This VW will sell for a fraction of the cost to duplicate and is probably one of the prettiest available. Continental US Bidders only please. Zero or negative feedback bidder's contact me first.
