Very original five window coupe that appears to have been under restoration in the late 60's, maybe early 70's. The car is all original except for the interior that is in good shape other than some loose stitching in the bottom front seat. I found the car when I stopped to investigate a 48 Dodge coupe sitting outside a shed/garage. That one was pretty rough but this one was inside the old wooden garage beside that car. I ended up buying both of them and have never done anything to them like I planned. BODY: the car doesn't appear to have ever been wrecked or repaired anywhere. It had some surface rust on it that was sanded down and some primer shot on a long time ago. The trunk lid was completely sanded down and primered and that was as far as they got. There is rust through in three small spots. One is just above the rear rocker trim on the driver side and the others are just outside the lower corners of the trunk lid. INTERIOR: Interior looks like it was installed back in the 60's and never driven since. A new looking headliner was folded up and laying in the back seat. The front floorboard is the weakest part of the whole car with rust holes in both sides and near the door sills. Most of the holes were repaired with licnse plates from the 60's. The newest license plate I found in the floor was 1968. that's why I expect this car was a late 60's restore. Motor: All of the drive train looks completely original and serviceable. Previous owner claimed the car ran in 1988 but I have never tried to start it as it has been sitting at least 24 years. The motor does turn over and the car rolls fine. Glass: One crack in the drivers door window. this car would make a great street rod, rat rod or concourse original. I have put a decent set of used tires on it for rollers. Great car, but I have way too many projects to think I will ever complete this one. Winning bidder is responsible for pick-up or shipping.
