Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my father's 1994 Mercedes E500. He purchased it with 2000 miles on it for close to $80,000 from a Ray Catena Motors in NJ. And you can be sure that this isn't an E400 modified to look like an E500 and it def wasn't totaled and rebuilt now selling with an R title either. If you're not familiar with this model, it's the predecessor to the current E63 which is currently selling for around 90k new. So back in the mid 90's it was prolly the most expensive model Mercedes was selling. This car was hand built between Mercedes and Porsche and is the original wolf in sheep's clothing car. No expense was spared in building this car, you can tell as soon as you get in it with the ultra thick leather and all the burl wood throughout. This car has been strictly adult driven as my father is now in his 80's. He is no longer driving, hence the reason for it's sale. He had hoped to be buried in it, so unfortunately he wasn't too concerned with keeping maintenance records. I can tell you that it had a major tune-up, caps, rotors, wires, plugs and air filters less than 5k miles ago. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles or yearly, which ever came first. He's always had a second car as a beater, so this car was def babied. It was just inspected and detailed about a month ago. The car is completely original except for the Remus exhaust and the solid wood gear shift knob that he added. It is flat black, a rare color for this model as the metallic black was the most common black and the interior is also black. Def the right colors for this car. All the buttons work and the AC is still very cold. You can def feel the luxury as soon as you sit in this rocket ship. The leather is so thick and all the burl wood is so luxurious. They def don't make cars like this anymore. The windows are also lightly tinted, great for those hot summers.
