The exterior has been finished in brilliant red. This was originally a bronze car. The paint and body are in good condition, there are a number of imperfections, notably some shallow dings along the passenger door edge photographed. This is a garage-kept, dry climate example and it shows throughout. Many of our photos were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit our friends at the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. Under the hood is the strong running 2.6 liter inline 6 cylinder engine. This dual carburetor powerplant was factory rated at 139 horsepower. It is backed by the 4-speed manual transmission. Interestingly, all 260Z cars were equipped with 4-speed manual transmissions. Further inspection of the engine compartment will confirm solid original firewall, core support, and inner fender sheetmetal. Much of the bronze finish is evident underhood. Jaguar and Ferrari styling is evident in these classic Datsun Z cars. The rear hatch area and spare tire compartment are solid. There is some pin hole rust in the spare carrier photographed. Altogether, very solid. The undercarriage showcases original flooring throughout this dry climate Datsun. Although the Datsun 260Z was produced for only one year, the company sold 63,963, making it the highest selling Z series at that time. The stylish Z was available as either this classic 2-seat version or the 2+2 with rear seating to accomodate two more. This stance is courtesy of custom Panasport 15-inch wheels wrapped in 205/60R15 rubber all around. Open the doors to 1974. This classic Datsun features factory bucket seating. The driver's seat shows wear on the bolster top and bottom. The dash is fitted with the form-fitting hard cover. The factory gauges work including the tachometer, speedometer, oil pressure, and temperature gauges. An aftermarket Panasonic AM/FM CD Stereo has also been installed. The door panels are in good condition and the door undersides are solid. The interior upholstery is in good condition throughout the hatch area. The carpeting is decent and we have a new carpet kit in the box that will go with the car. Enjoy the remaining photos.
