Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook 4-door sedan with OVERDRIVE! It was purchased new by my Grandma in Albuquerque, NM in 1953. It was driven daily until 1977 when she got into a fender bender. (see pics) The car was given to my Aunt who kept it garaged until she gave it to me in 2010. This car has been garaged its whole life...59 years old and never left outdoor for any period of time! There is some damage to the right front fender. The rest of the car is pristine! NO RUST anywhere. The car will start and move, but there are NO BRAKES. The engine smokes at start up, but eventually gets better. Car is 99% original. The only changes are the battery cables (not the correct 6-volt type) and radiator hoses. There is a sticker on the ash tray door that has the number 2197 written on it. The same number is written on the firewall in grease pencil. How may 59 year old cars still have assembly line markings on them? I am moving and cant store the car anymore. Obviously, the car cannot be driven away, but I will assist with loading the car on your trailer or flatbed. I have a clear Texas title in my name.
