Vehicle Detail
Fully documented, just completed, frame-off restoration of a 1976 TR6.Almost certainly one of the finest examples of this vehicle in the United States.Rare matching factory hard top (see photo), and even rarer overdrive transmission. I have the original owner's manual and the original Ziebart rustproofing receipt, along with my other receipts. Body/paint: Documented and photographed full frame-off restoration. Painted at local high-end restorer. Custom fabricated front hood (bonnet, if you are British!) with domed addition to clear carburetors.Engine/mechanical: Upgraded front brakes with 4 piston calipers. Finned rear drum brakes. Heavy-duty front and rear sway bars. New large diameter custom exhaust system. New EverStart Maxx High Output battery purchased in May, includes 3 year free replacement warranty. I spoke with the car's restorer in Detroit, and he told me that the engine was completely rebuilt, and in particular, new aluminum pistons were added, with a 10 to 1 compression ratio (I have a record of a recent compression test if anyone is interested, but rest assured that compression is very good, and very consistent). A Good Parts model GP3 camshaft was installed. (This is a high performance cam, which can be seen here: http://www.goodparts.com/shop/index.php?categoryID=9). The engine builder (I do not have that company's name) ported and polished the heads. As the photos show, triple Weber carbs were installed on Pierce Manifolds (http://www.piercemanifolds.com). Custom aluminum manifold covers were installed. Wheels/Tires: New American Racing 'Libre' style wheels shod with new Dunlop ZR rated high performance tires.Interior: Refinished wood dashboard with fully functional refurbished instruments. Roll bar installed. High quality "Xtreme Sound" Stereo/CD/MP3 player. I have owned the car since last year, and it has not been in any accidents during my ownership, nor have I seen any evidence of an accident in the past. Prior to my purchase, I had the car inspected by a British car specialist (that report is available), and no evidence of any accidents was found at that time). Located in Palo Alto, CA, but titled in Illinois, which is where I moved from. The vehicle has not been California smogged, and if the buyer desires to operate the vehicle in California, they will be responsible for obtaining any needed smog certification. Received great interest at the recent Palo Alto Concours. Selling the car to finance the long-delayed restoration of my 1969 Camaro. Seller will split the cost of shipping up to a Seller contribution of $600.
