1965 Ford Thunderbird White Convertible with Black interior. (Vin # 5Y85Z121933 under hood, by vent) Rebuilt 390 motor in 2004 Previous owner spent $2,300.00 less than 1000 miles since 2004. reads 40,130 inside dash. This has the Lincoln Continental tire pkg on the back. I bought this in January 2012 to keep and work on along side my 67 & 70 thunderbirds. I am selling so I can buy a property. This car starts right up and drives fine. Idle is a little high. This is a complete car, however needing attention. Chrome is all there but some surface rust..see photos Inside chrome is showing pitting, or may just need to be buffed out. Inside dash looks great, seats and doors all there but need work..some tears in seats and inner door...see photos Drivers door has a 1964 door tag. Vin #4Y87Z109048 Inside fender, under hood, reads a stamped number 10 7 21 & 8 17 8 on drivers side. Car over all needs new rubber...door seals, trunk seal etc. The convertible top looks to be in great shape The top and trunk worked when I bought it...I think it's the switch. I had it opened a few weeks ago (see photo of car in garage) The close button works...has a "click" when pressed, but the open side has no "click" I have the 1965 book that shows how to Jumper the relay thru the back seat. I'll get a video this week and post to the web before auction ends. Looks like original Thunderbird Radio. Over all this is a great car that you can ...ride & drive..but needs some work.
