1980 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel L. 1.6L 5-speed manual. Clean car from Texas that has never seen winter. Car gets consistent 45-50 mpg. Runs great, shifts great, steers great, stops great, looks great. Dash is cracked from Texas sun which is common from cars in that area and Volkswagens in general. It has a few dings and scratches here and there from being 32 years old. The paint is in good shape and the car has no visible rust. I've had the car for 4 years and it has always been stored indoors during winter. I only drive it during the summer. It had 55,000 miles on the odometer when I bought it. Recent repairs include: rebuilt vacuum pump, replaced front and rear struts, replaced front and rear springs, replaced front and rear wheel bearings, rebuilt starter, replaced oil pan gasket, clutch, pressure plate, and clutch cable, glow plugs and relay, replaced timing belt, tensioner, water pump, intermediate shaft pulley, replaced cam cover gasket, four new tires and front end alignment, replaced two front brake calipers, new battery in March of 2010, just rebuilt diesel injection pump. Also the oil is always changed every 3,000 miles with Rotella 15w-40. The car has air conditioning, but it does not work. This really is an awesome car. I love it and thought I would never sell it, but I have a kid off to college in fall so my awesome little Rabbit has to go. Local pick up only. $500.00 due to PayPal within 24 hours of sale.
