Up for auction is a very very nice 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350 Coupe. This is a no rust California car in excellent shape. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, factory Air Conditioning, American Mags, console and 4 Speed transmission with factory Hurst Shifter. The owner gave us an extra console and a factory 8 track player, along with a car cover and those items come with the car. I have been driving the car quite a bit and it runs fantastic. It has its original numbers matching engine and transmission and the odometer shows the car to have only 76193 miles. Based on the condition of the car, we believe the miles are correct. Because we have no way to verify the miles, the car will be sold miles exempt. The interior is in excellent condition. The door panels and dash are very nice and the car is very clean under the hood and in the trunk. We have found three minor issues with the car and we want to make sure and disclose them to any potential buyer before he or she bids on the vehicle. (1) the a/c was working fine until the compressor clutch started making noise. It should be replaced. (2) The drivers door opens and closes fine, but the door lock does not work. It appears that one of the rods has popped off and the door panel will need to be removed to re-install it. (3) The four speed transmission is a bit noisy and sometimes grinds a bit going into fourth gear. To us, it isn't bad enough that we would pull it out for repair. Those are the only issues we know about. This Firebird runs and drives down the highway just as it should. You can let go of the wheel at 70mph and the car goes straight down the road. The clutch is solid and the cars performance is excellent. These Formulas are becoming very collectible and they make great drivers as well. We are located in sunny northern California and you are welcome to come inspect the car anytime. If the winning bidder resides here in Calif, sales tax and license will be collected at the time the car is picked up. If the buyer resides outside of Calif, he/she will be responsible for paying any taxes and fees to the DMV in the state the car is to be registered in.
