Vehicle Detail

This is one cool rat rod truck that I have been building for the last 9 months. I have now found a new project to take up my time and no longer need this rat rod. This rat rod truck has a lot of new parts, from memory... the frame is a 1989 s10, the cab and bed are from a 1946 gmc, the story behind the 1946 gmc... I bought it from a lodge, it had been seating in a barn for years not being used. The name of the lodge was still painted on the door when I got it. I thought it was pretty cool and anyone into older cars with a history would appreciate it. Here are just a few things that were used in building this truck... Engine 283 v8- the engine was cleaned and painted a shiney black with all new seals and plugs, wires, rotor cap, holly 4 barrel and elderbrock intake, new fuel pump ,new starter, new electric fan, aluminum radiator, new flex fan and crome elderbrock valve covers Wiring- I bought a new 19 bay fuse box from ez wiring and all the lights, turn signals, brake lights and ignition work awesome. This truck has several bays to add a radio or accessories transmission 700r4 automatic- took out the transmission cleaned and painted the trans from front to back, removed the trans pan and added new seal and installed Shifter- B&M longneck Tires- coker old school white walls brand new Rims- they are Rally had them made by a company in California, the front are smaller then the back to give the old school look Interior-the seat is a bench seat out of the s10 donor truck and the steering column is out of the same truck. The factory gauges light up but are not hooked up, it has aftermarket gauges installed Body- the truck has some rust here and there but is solid. I had the bottom of the door reskinned and new rocker panels installed. The butterfly hood is still in working order. The windshield cranks out for fresh air. The hood vent is in working order.T he bed has been shortened and the width has been reduced so that the graft to the s10 frame could work, I then installedsterring column is out of the same truck. To sum up this project... I had a lot of fun building it and I learned a lot about the truck and the history behind the parts. I am now ready to move on to something else. This rat rod truck can still be improved on, I am just at a place to where I want to do something different. I am selling it at no reserve to the highest bidder. This vehicle is being sold with a bill of sale with no state title, no warranty implied or promised. This is sold AS/IS.
