Vehicle Detail

Long term project for sale. This 1950 Buick 2 door Sedanette was found in a trailer park here in Oklahoma back in about 1996. Some of the windows were busted and the water had rotted the floorboards completely away. To simplify the repair to the floors and to update the drive train a 1974 Cadillac Sedan DeVille was sacrificed to provide the sheetmetal and drive train. Everything underneath is Cadillac: Frame, suspension, brakes, engine, trans, firewall, steering, etc. The 472 has been bored .030 and stroked to 500+ inches. Block hugger headers, 200 amp alternator, Edelbrock manifold, milled heads, holley carb, Vintage Air, dual 2 gallon air tanks, Ride Tech system, aluminum radiator, Wheel Vintiques Caddilac wires, white walls, Fuel Safe 15 gallon fuel cell, 2 1/2" duals, Flowmaster mufflers, custom driveshaft, power windows, electric Tornado front seat, oil, temp and fuel gauges,tilt- telescoping column, Olds one piece windshield, etc. All the Cadillac gear underneath has been rebuilt. New brake parts all the way around. New bushings and bearings and tie rods, and everything. This car is really cool. To say it gets attention is an understatement. The front bumper blade has been replated but the rear is original. We have purchased better grille teeth whenever they showed up so many are NOS or very clean. We built LED inserts for the front turn signals and the rear brake and running lights. What it needs: complete interior, better cooling system, find leak in A/C system- add R134, hook up the vacuum wipers, real paint job, a hundred little details. The TH400 transmission works great but we haven't had it rebuilt. Something that needs clarifying, I would not drive this car cross country in this heat. It has been driven to Salina Kansas twice in the past for car shows but a couple years ago it started running hotter than before. I changed from the twin electric fans to a big engine driven fan and started to make a shroud but got interrupted. Around town on a hot day the temperature will climb. I haven't had it out on the open road so I don't know if there will be an issue with engine cooling. This is a project car and there will be things to sort out.
