Vehicle Detail
This is one beautiful shark! Unmolested survivor showing beautifully after 35 years with originality coupled with tasteful upgrades that only enhance this original beauty. Gorgeous color combination with silver exterior with red leather interior. Exterior is shiny after recent repaint with just a few minor imperfections. All trim pieces are there and in very good condition. Doors, hood and trunk align correctly and it appears that there has never been any bodywork done. Wheels and tires have been upgraded to 17" BMW wheels that are in perfect condition with tires that are about 80%. Interior is smoke-free, almost perfect and quite stunning in red leather with black and chrome. All seats look as if they have been recovered as they have no rips, tears or stains but appear to be original! They must have been covered there entire life because they are perfect. Headliner has no tears. All electronics work correctly with the exception of the four way hazard switch ($37) that needs to be replaced. A brand new Alpine stereo system was installed 6 months ago and sounds great. Engine runs perfect and has recently undergone an extensive tune up in which a leaky injector was replaced in addition to all fuel and air hoses. Ignition has been upgraded to a Crane Cams "Fireball" electric ignition. Just passed CA smog with flying colors and burns no oil. Transmission was totally rebuilt in December of 2010 with new trans mount. New stainless steel exhaust was installed at the same time with a stainless Magnaflow muffler and big stainless tip producing a nice tune. Driving this car a pure joy and is a real drivers car. It drives and feels like a roadster. This is a BMW from a time when they were lean and not particularly luxurious. They were spartan in the 70's and not the luxed-out yuppie cars that they later became. You can hear the engine, feel the road and experience driving that is for someone that really likes to drive. New in the last year: $2000 - Alpine iDA-X305S receiver, Alpine Bluetooth kit, 4 Focal 100 speakers, JL Audio subwoofer in trunk, Alpine MRXV60 Amp $2400 - BMW 17"x8" wheels w/ Kumho 225 45R 17 tires $1400 - Transmission rebuild $1300 - Major Tune up replacing all rubber engine, fuel and air hoses. That's a total of $7100 in the last year. This car is ready for it's new owner with very little needed. Feel free to contact me with any questions before bidding. You will not be disappointing with this car.
