Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1965 Rambler American 440 "H"Hardtop. This little American is super fun to drive and gets lots of thumbs up and gets incredible miles per gallon! Nice running 232 6 cylinder fires right up every time and the little rebuilt 2 barrel just sips the gas. It doesn't run hot or have any strange habits, ol reliable we call her! It has a 3 speed on the column manual transmission. The snychros in the tranny are a little tired and you have to either shift it slowly into the gears or you can double clutch it. The car has been repainted bright yellow and some 60's style flames were applied to the nose. All the trim and bright work were removed for the paint job. This was something my dad and I did in his garage and is not show quality, but nice. The bumpers have some peeling in the chrome. Great looking (non functional) 60's vintage hood scoop and nice 15 inch American Racing wheels with good tires finish off the look. The car has a good battery, good manual brakes, manual steering, working vacuum wipers, heater works, as do the lights, turn signals, dome light, emergency brake, and horn. The steering and suspension are pretty good for a 65 car. The true miles are unknown to me because it is a 5 digit odometer. The car has Scion TC seats in the front and a Saturn Ion rear seat. Glass is all there and good. Rambler side view mirror and very stock (other than seats) interior are all in fair shape. Like I said, this is not a $40,000 show car, just something fun that my dad and I have played with for the last 4 or 5 years that we have owned it. Nice clean California body doesn't have any rust in it that I know of. Get in her and drive it home without any known problems to me. Look at the pics and email with questions. Car is selling as is where is, there are no warranties implied expressed or given. Please be ready to pay for and pick up the car within 2 weeks of auction close. If you want to fly in and drive the car home I will pick up the winning bidder at the Sacramento Airport. If you want to have the car transported, buyer to pay all transport fees but I will help out in any other way that I can. Have a clean and clear California title in my name. My dad and I have put many trouble free miles on this car in the time we have owned it. Very reliable car that turns alot of heads. Thanks for looking and good luck on buying this very fun, easy to drive Rambler!
