DATA PLATE: 40A KK XB 23LLP187 VIN: P6FH158690 CONDITION: As can be seen in the pictures this Thunderbird is in great condition. The restoration of the car was done a number of years ago but was obviously comprehensive and professionally done. There are no pictures or receipts from the restoration. Sheet metal is nice and straight. The paint has excellent gloss and is a beautiful color especially in sunlight. If I had to nit-pick the exterior there are a few paint prep flaws visible under strong fluorescent light and a few paint chips however this is being super-critical and not noticeable to the casual observer. The chrome is really nice. The engine and trunk areas are super-nice. Underneath the car has been fully restored and the pictures illustrate this nicely. The interior is virtually as-new. Convertible top has one tear as shown but the rear window is clear. Hardtop has some paint blistering on the top however the interior/headliner is perfect. Tires are nice older whitewalls with plenty of tread. Wire wheels are in nice shape. Mechanically the car has just been fully inspected and serviced by Layland Motors which is one of the best classic and exotic service shops in the area. Please see http://laylandmotors.com for information about them. They installed a new master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders. All the fluids have been changed, engine tuned and car test-driven 100 miles. The car runs, stears and stops as it should. Clutch and transmission work great. It appears the radio, clock, temp and fuel gauges and heater blower are not functional. Speedo, tach, odometer and lights are in working order. HISTORY: This car has been owned by a local Ford enthusiast who enjoyed his collection of fine Mustangs, T-Birds, Shelby’s and other rare cars. He bought the Thunderbird after it had been restored and it has been driven sparingly since then. The car has been kept in his HUGE garage full of cars, tools and collectible automotive memorabilia. Unfortunately the owner has passed away and his family has asked us to sell this wonderful car on their behalf.
