NO RESERVE!!!!! THIS CAR WILL SELL!!! For sale is my 1967 Mercury Cougar. I am the 2nd owner and can put you in touch with the original owner at your request. It has been totally restored to all its former glory and then some. Car was originally a 289 V8 but now has a freshly rebuilt 302 H.O. Roller Motor with less than 100 miles on it. It has brand new paint, brand new tires and wheels. The interior is about a 7 out of 10 however I have purchased brand new factory-correct interior which has not yet been installed. The new interior is parchment in color. I can have the new interior installed for you but you will incur the cost.Did you know the Mercury Cougar was the Motor Trend Car of the Year for 1967!? I had this car on eBay about 6 weeks ago but the reserve was not met. This time, I am listing it with no reserve however, THE CAR IS ALSO LISTED FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THIS AUCTION IF THE CAR SELLS LOCALLY. Absolutely no disappointments here!!! Buy with confidence! The paint is a near perfect as any new vehicle on any lot! Tires have 100% tread left. Interior is better than should be expected from a 45 year old car, but like I wrote, brand new interior is in the trunk still wrapped in protective plastic and in the shipping boxes. DISCLOSURES: The back seat panel that goes from the door jamb on the left side is missing. It is in the trunk and can be repaired, but I don't know how to do it. The upholstery covers the panel anyway. I can send you a photo. This is VERY MINOR! The horn and turn signals do not work. I have bought a brand new LED Sequential Turn SIgnal Kit from West Coast Custom Cougars. The kit of course comes with the car. I do not know how to install it or trouble shoot why the horn doesn't work. I am a disabled veteran and cannot work on the car myself. The radio is not connected either but is the original AM radio that came with the car. According to my son who lives in Phoenix, the horn, signal lights and turn signal issues are probably related to a fuse or minor short. They worked until the car got painted. I have over $31,000.00 invested in this custom restoration but have not do not suffer from the dillusion that I will ever get near that amount back on this sale. This restoration was a labor of love. I have loaded up as many photos as eBay allows. I also have mPegs I can e-mail you so that you may hear the engine and exhaust. Don't know how to load mPegs on eBay but again, can easily e-mail them to you. I could go on and on about how fantastic this little Cougar with the hot 302 H.O. Roller Motor but, the proof is in actually driving this awseome piece of FMC history! By the way, the engine rebuild was accomplished by Kevin Utter or Utter Motor Sports and The Utter Racing Team out of Panama City Florida. Kevin is an ASE Certified Ford Mechanic and has decades of race motor building experience. Kevin is a close friend and he put not only his best efforts into this rebuild, but also staked his reputation on it! Feel free to call me at (940) 689-0245 and ask for Doug or email me at Doug3007@Hotmail.Com ABSOLUTLEY NO DISAPPOINTMENTS HERE AND THE VERY NICEST '67 COUGAR ON EBAY! About a dozen folks have written asking me what my, "no-kidding bottom price" is. I understand all of us wabts the best deal we can possibly make which is why this is a no-reserve auction. I'll give ya' the skinny...The buy-it-now price as you can see is $10,000. I have it for sale locally too and am asking $12,500 but admittedly, the first person locally who offers me $10,000 will get the car and I will end the auction. If it doesn't sell locally, I will allow the eBay auction to run its course and the high bidder wins. Hope that answers all questions regarding what my "best price" is. In short, someone will either end the auction with a $10k offer or the highest bidder will win...it's that simple :) Again, thank you so much for your interest and good luck to all bidders! Very Respectfully, Doug
