2007 Mercedes Benz GL450 4MATIC AWD 4.7L V8 – 91k miles BEING SOLD AT NO RESERVE !!! Let me start by saying that unlike most of the GL’s on Ebay, this truck comes HEAVILY optioned… in fact, I believe the only option it does not have is the Distronic Cruise Control ($3000). Don’t get me wrong… this GL has cruise control… just not the special Distronic version that automatically adjusts speed if there is a car in front of you. Not worth the cost in my opinion. And make sure you get one with the cornering Xenon lights… they light up the road like you wouldn’t believe…. Look for the chromed fog light housings… if they are black, then you don’t have the Xenon light package. Another must is the appearance package that comes with the stainless steel skidplates front & back.. plus the larger 19” rims. I am the personal owner of this vehicle… and have had it dealer serviced since I purchased it in Dec 2009 (previous owner also had the vehicle dealer serviced… as it was new under warranty). Last scheduled maintenance was in December, where I had the rear struts replaced to smooth out the ride…. A year on the Nokian tires(from Finland) – which in my opinion are the best tires money can buy for this particular vehicle. The Continental tires that come stock on the GL from Mercedes are TERRIBLE… slip and slide in the rain, let alone the snow. This truck hugs the road like you woudn’t believe, with these tires…. And they yield better mileage to boot… only about 1 mpg… but that is still better than a poke in the eye. In fact, this V8 GL450 gets better mileage than the 2003 Pathfinder LE V6 that it replaced. If you need a luxury SUV that has 3 row seating without the feel of a giant Escalade, then this is the one for you. I can’t stand driving those giant Suburban type trucks. This GL450 has the feel of driving a car… and is very easy to park (backup camera and parktronic certainly help). Beautiful lines, throaty V8 with plenty of get up and go to round out this elegant package. Best color combo of Black/Tan. This vehicle needs nothing…. And I own it free and clear, so the transaction will be very easy. This truck was used to cart my 2 little girls all around town and for family road trips(mainly to VT for skiing)… so I never compromised on safety… no corners cut, ever. I am not a dealer, so I don’t need a particular profit margin… and I don’t charge any dealer prep fees. Check out my feedback… no games here…. No hard sell… just a great car at a great price… with no surprises. I have both keys and manuals, working remote for the DVD and 2 sets of upgraded Sony noise-cancelling headphones… plus the rear cargo cover and some sort of Mercedes grocery bag holder (still in the bag). Running boards Bluetooth iPod integration Now for the reality check. This is a used vehicle…. And as such, the paint is not new, the new car smell is probably gone, and the carpets and leather show signs of use. My kids probably spilled a juicebox or 2 in the back… and there are likely a few pretzel goldfish still lingering somewhere under the seats in the 3rd row. But this car is otherwise clean… and has never been smoked in… the cigarette lighter has never even been used. There are scratches on the rear bumper from lugging gear in the back… and it looks like someone kissed her in a parking lot lightly on the left rear bumper... just scratches though (see pics). Also… this past fall, a branch fell on the hood… which caused a small dent on the top of the driver-side front fender(see pics)…. But if I never mentioned it, you’d probably never notice it. Lastly, one of the 3rd row seats sticks sometimes in the down position(probably a coin in the gears)... but it will come up with a few presses of the button. Most cars on Ebay will need some work when you get home… I always assume that I will need to replace the brakes and the tires when I see listings… not so with this vehicle… it is ready to go, and the engine runs strong… transmission shifts smoothly…. If I told you it had 40,000 miles on it instead of 91,000… you’d probably believe me. This GL450 has just been broken in. Love this car… only reason I am selling is because the 2012 GL450 is already in the driveway…. And what they offered me for a trade-in at the dealer was laughable.
