Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice original Model A. Was restored sometime in the 1980s and then in a longtime storage. Car is 100% rust free, all wood in nice shape with some replaced. All grease certs were replaced and steering box rebuilt. Has a 4 blade fan and wires on most of car have been replaced. Car in the last year has new tires, new carb, new breather, new mirror, new (rebuilt) speedometer, all rubber items replaced. New bumpers and dash a couple years ago too.All lights and horn works as should. Original with 6 volt battery and gauge shows 15 to 20 amps charge. Motor cranks easy, car drives straight and rides smooth ( for a model A) Car was sole survivor of a bad storm and top was damaged. I have replaced 2 broken bows and fixed but do not have the cloth due to some want canvas and some like vinal tops.(and differant colors). This varies from $350 to $1500 depending how fancy you want it. Has a rumbleseat with complete interior and mat. I have driven this car 200 miles in a day and never a problem. Perfect for GREAT RACE or just grandkids. Nothing modified...all original....simple and easy to work on and drive. It has a currant, clear 1929 Texas title . This car is sold "AS IS" and you are welcome to come go for a ride anytime before buying(im usually at the local cafe in it) This car is also an early 29 with 28 parts......steering wheel, oval speedometer, pop out switch, light bar and RARE drum tail light and bracket. The NADA for this is over $27,000( look it up) Due to the top and some small boo boos from the storm I am selling for a little more than half. Call BEFORE BUYING if you have any questions. 682 459-3078 thank you and good luck. This is one of the last true originals left.......buy before it gets away...it will go fast !On Jun-29-12 at 10:08:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a few ask me about the "boo boos I mentiontioned. The top bows were the worst.....they have been replaced with new wood and are as should be. Most would be hard pressed to tell from original. There is a nickel size dent on the hood and rad shell (like hail dent ) and a small place on the turtle deck that dont even show when raised as the rumble seat. These all happened at the time of the storm. The car looks very nice and the ones that have seen it are still liking it very much. It is out in front of my house for sale and can sell at anytime( Im getting many good offers) This car is perfect underneath with zero rust and great care was used restoring as it should be. If reserve is met then it will sell to the highest bidder here. Others have asked me about the top.....it is fairly simple to put on and there are a few places you can get one of differant types. If wanted I can put a top on for you but a couple of things need to be understood.....1) the car must be purchased with the buy it now($16,500 price only).....2) I have worked on many model As but am not a proffesional uphostery fella.....I am happy with my work and if asked to work for you I will do my best but understand Im not perfect.....3) for $16,500 I will buy a basic black top and install it......if you want a better top you can buy it and ship to me and I will install it. This deal incudes that you pay in full for the car up front and give me time for the top to be shipped here and for me to put it on...I would guess at least a few weeks for shipping and a weekend to put it on. This is good for the $16,500 price only...........Call me if any questions at 682-459-3078. On Jul-02-12 at 09:13:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Last chance to buy a true original model A roadster. I drove the car 25 miles this morning and it ran perfect. I have a standing offer of $12,500 from a fella that wants just the body for a hotrod. Rather than ruin this car in this way I have decided to just let it go so that maybe others can enjoy it as it is. I have reduced the buy it now and reserve considerably. At this price I will not do the top or throw in the other hard to find parts I had....I will just save them for another car later. Also I had offered to a few to deliver myself if bought at the $16,500 price ...this is no longer valid since I am now letting it go so cheap. This car is 100% rust free and a rare and fun car. I included more pics taken yesterday and underneath to show how clean this car is. This is a car driven regular.....not a barn find you will have to work on. take care and good luck bidding.
