Vehicle Detail
This Cayenne is in outstanding mechanical shape. It's got 82500 miles and lots left to give. This is the only SUV I'll own, and if I'm ever in the market to buy an SUV, it'll be another Cayenne. The torquey 4.5 liter V8 delivers 340 hp, and when driven with a light left foot gets around 20 mpg. It drives like a Porsche, with responsive and precise handling. Enormous brakes allow it to stop on a dime. First, the bad news: The paint on the top of both front fenders needs work. The clearcoat has sun damage and is clouded up. If you wanted the paint to be perfect, you'd have to repaint the entire vehicle. If you just wanted it to look average for it's age, a touchup would do. As is, I'd rate the paint at 5 out of 10. The only body damage is a 3" by 6" dent on the tailgate. My wife backed into a parked car because she has not yet mastered the art of reversing. The steering wheel has scratched paint on the cruise control and radio buttons. I believe the previous owner had long nails. The rear passenger ashtray lid stays open, same with the rear center cig lighter cover. Then, the good news: The engine runs like a top. Just replaced 3 coils due to cracking, so it's a possibility that the other 5 will fail eventually. This is a known issue with the Cayenne, and they were replaced with the latest part number that won't fail. (has warranty) The tranny is the tiptronic 6 speed auto. In manual mode, you can shift via buttons on the steering wheel Great performance tires with plenty of life left. Interior is in good shape, I'd say 7 out of 10. It's fully optioned with satnav, heated seats and steering wheel, power sunroof, etc, etc... The coolant line issue has been addressed. If you know cayennes, you know that the coolant lines below the intake manifold are plastic and prone to breaking. Porsche figured this out and supplied a kit to convert them all to aluminium. This kit has been installed on this vehicle. Don't buy a pre-2007 cayenne without this kit. This vehicle has been enthusiast owned and is driven daily by my school teacher wife. Once you drive it, you'll love it. Call or email to schedule a time to come look at it. Delivery can be arranged up to 500 miles away. I can be reached at (505) 8 o 1 - ninesix foureight Thanks!
