Vehicle Detail
This 1957 Buick Century has the desired 3 piece rear window. The car has been a local Northern California car since new. The floors, rockers, trunk fenders, door, have NO rust problems at all. I have owned this car for several years. I am so involved with restoration of customer cars that my own cars seem to just sit here. I need to reduce the number of cars I own. This is the next car that can go to a new home. This Buick Century Runs Great - Shifts Fine - Starts Easy - Looks GOOD! It has been repainted at some time long ago. I have a video with a short road test that I can share with you. JUST ASK FOR THE LINK! Since the car has not been driven for more than 10 years, it is not registered or insured. This is a driveable car like it is. BUT as all OLD cars need things, this Buick will need some things done. you will need to decide what is OK like it is, or needs to be upgraded. Title is in my name. I do export. The car can stay here until you have your transport set up. I do have some of the regular car-guys that come here interested in the Buick. If they put a package deal together for this and other cars I have, I will notify all bidders prior to accepting any offers. PLEASE READ The Payment Instructions! PayPal Depoist required. Balance in CASH or wire transfer. YES-- I mentioned PLEASE READ: YOU NEED TO KNOW, that I got the car from a local kid that got it from the original owners. HE decided to make some kind of custom.. I have no idea what he was thinking.. He cut the center of the dash OUT and had welded a flat piece of sheetmetal in place of the wonderfull Buick dash... Seems that he threw away the original parts. I have collected original dash parts over the years and have managed to get it all back in place. You can see that the "Engine Turned" aluminum insert does not look corect. This was the best one I could find. The glove box latch is broken. I have all the heater controls working, but did not connect them to the heater box. All the gauges are working. The interior has wrong upholstery and the doors and windows need new weatherstrips. I can order the weatehrstrips and include them if you cover the cost. The visors are there but need recovering. The radio does not work. I have MANY pictures and can send you any and all information. I welcome and encourage inspections. PLEASE ASK Questions. I will post ALL questions IF you do not include personal information in your question. NOW-- I have listed the Buick TWO TIMES in the past. BOTH times I had to deal with NON PAYING Bidders. It is a REAL HASSLE to deal with bidders that play games. THIS time, I will ask EACH BIDDER to tell me who they are and what thier purchasing qualifications are. Each time I list the car if it sells or not, eBay charges me. The first time, the hi bid was 8105. Second time it ust met reserve at 5700. I did make a second chance offer to the second place bidder at 8005, but he did not respond. There was a LOT of acitivity and requests for photos the first time I listed the car. ME AGAIN- I had relisted the Buick with the help of an eBay assistant and somehow got it listed TWICE. I just got off the phone with eBAy help and was told to just END the other auction style listing and leave this one active. VERY FRUSTRATING to have non-paying bidders! I still have to pay all listing fees! WOW! Getting expensive here..
