Dealer serviced every 5,000 miles. I am the second owner and for the first 12k miles, this was a Georgia car. I have owned the car since 12/2005. It has been garaged since I have owned it. This is non-smoking car.All 4 tires were replaced 6/2012 Full Disclosure; Fall 2009 - In pursuit of a shake in the engine the clutch, clutch bearing and pads were replaced in a effort to stop a sporadic rattle. This was replaced with VW parts at a VW dealer under warranty. It was later determined that this was unnecessary and the shake was related to a defective part. This vehicle was involved in a low speed (<5mph) front end collision in 6/2010. This low energy collision was slow enough not to deploy the airbags. All work was done by an authorized and VW certified repair shop and the car was completely inspected and evaluated. This vehicle has its share of minor dings and dents from driving in and around the city. It is in excellent condition for its age but is not pristine. See photos. In pursuit of replacing the MAS at 80k miles the ECU was replaced and reprogrammed unnecessarily by the dealer. Later is was determined that it was only a MAS that was malfunctioning.
