Presenting a fabulous hard to find 850 sedan with clean interior and full-power(non-turbocharged for highest miles per gallon. Volvo's first model with standard SIPS and ahead of it's time for safety in engineering. It is a rare model to find in this condition and miles today. It is clean inside and out-and drives like the original safety-engineered car considered Volvo's best model!. (most have over 200-300k miles on them and are still running great!)
Driving; motor runs smoothly at all temperatures, and transmission shifts correctly in all gears. Factory steel wheels have a mixed set of all-season tires. The driver's seat has little wear on the side bolster which is a plus, leather is in better condition than most I see.

Maintenance; As this is a new-car trade, no service records come in the glovebox due to store's 'privacy policy'. Take the ViN to your local Volvo store's Serv. Mgr. to run on his national service data base for component recall/history. Winter package includes the wonderful front seat warmers and headlamp wiper feature that never works on this model. Likely due for regular interval service. An oil change-available at a local specialist shop(included with $70 Volvo recommended 'pre-trip inspection') required for buyers not shipping by truck. He recommends budgeting $50-100 per model year of age to deferred maintenance and/or inspection-related repairs or service on any used car. Good body and undersides, and note crusty areas near leading edge of windshield(see pix), sharp paint, has usual bumper scrapes, tears and light clearcoat scratches attendant with a vehicle of the era. Interior window sill vinyl has sun wrinkles(cosmetic). Far better than average for the year and miles!
Fixit's ; may be due for oil change or regular service interval and stereo may require 4 digit code inserted(avail. at Volvo stores. One front wheel has a dent which you can feel underway-I will supply another in trunk upon request. Air Conditioning not tested in any vehicles (not too cool) Power antennaes, bulbs, cd players and other smaller items not tested in any cars.
Check lights on dash may light at any time on this model due to 02, max airflow or abs sensors.
