momo2qtz Store We are selling this car for a friend. For sale in this auction is a 1990 Mercedes 560 SEL, including clear Texas title. This car is in exceptionally good condition for its age. These W126 cars are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. This car appears to have every available option that Mercedes offered and is the most desirable color combination of black on black. The 2nd and current owner purchased the car from the original owner in September, 2002, for $14,000. At that time, the car had approximately 40,000 original miles on the odometer, and looked like it had been driven out of the showroom. The car has been kept in very good condition with regular maintenance – oil changes every 3,000 miles, regular washes, wax, conditioning, and repairs when required. The rear seat reclines and has seat heaters just like the front seats. The back also has individual reading lights and foot rests. There are also Mercedes tools and a car cover. Please note a couple of minor flaws: The burl wood tambour door in the console needs to be repaired/replaced. The pieces are in the trunk. Some minor plastic covers on the seat bottoms are cracked and could be replaced. The antenna needs to be repaired as it will not retract. Additionally, these cars are notorious for the owners disengaging the auto-leveling rear suspension. This car did have the rear suspension disconnected and updated with 420SEL shocks. PLEASE NOTE: We are including the parts necessary to restore the auto leveling rear suspension to its proper working function with the correct 560SEL parts. These parts are very expensive and are included in the sale of the car. The new owner can either leave the 420SEL shocks on the car or have the correct 560SEL components re-installed at their expense. This is a simple fix with these parts included. This work can be done at our service department after close of auction at the buyers expense. Parts are included in the sale, but the labor would be addtional. Some 560SEL owners are avid enthusiasts and may want this change made for their tastes. Because we pride ourselves in providing our buyers with accurate information, we wanted to be clear on this information. Also, the only body damage that ever occurred on the car was in September, 2008, the front left fender and wheel were hit by an oncoming car. Park Place Mercedes-Benz Bodyworks in Dallas repaired the car with all factory Mercedes parts and did an excellent job of painting. There are no visible paint lines. This is a beautiful sedan.
