I'm the second owner and imported it from Florida. It has served me reliably for the last six years, never breaking down. It easily has another 100-150,000 miles in it.Gets 40+ miles per gallon, close to 50 if driven smoothly on the highway.This car is fun to drive and very reliable. I changed the timing belt 10,000 miles ago, along with transmission oil. The car has been regularly serviced with the recommended synthetic motor oil. Brakes are decent, fuel filter has been replaced recently. Car is smogged.Automatic transmission, 138,000 miles. After 2006, Volkswagen switched to a different engine technology. This car, the 2002 generation, however, is great for anyone who wants to drive with biodiesel or convert to vegetable oil (you need to add a conversion kit for veggie oil).
