Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a car inherited from my grandmother, who bought it new in 1986. It has always been garage kept, proper maintenance has always been performed, and the car looks and runs like new. It was hardly used, but always garaged over the last 12 years. It is rust free, straight (never in anything worse than a shopping cart collision), and prior to sale had the following: oil/filter change, new fuel pump/filter, new timing belt, new fan belts and hoses, radiator flush, new transaxle fluid, shocks, and new wires/plugs/cap/rotor. The 2.5L fuel injected engine starts right up, and it runs and drives exceptionally. The 600 was Mopar's answer to the European luxury coupes of the day. It comes standard with leather interior, which is in fantastic condition, power windows/seats/locks/top. This is a great cruiser with an exceptionally comfortable ride for a small car. Every last light bulb, switch, and gauge works flawlessly on this vehicle. The underhood and trunk are spotless. There is no rust on the unibody. This car is in wonderful condition for it's age. There is one tiny driver's side seat tear, a couple small cracks in the dash over the speaker grille on the passenger side, a few tiny dings and scrapes that didn't buff out. The top is starting to show wear. The glass window is in excellent condition, and the top doesn't leak, but it's beginning to show it's age. The car comes with a replacement white top (without window). The A/C works and is all there, but cycles on and off, suggesting that it is low on R-12. The tires have some wear, and are dry from sitting for many years, I would recommend replacing them. These are the only known issues with this car, which was in the family for 26 years. Good luck bidding on this luxurious, classic (historic plate eligible) ragtop.
