Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1991 Porsche 911 C4 Cabriolet. It only has 77,000 miles. It is in great shape. I will attempt to be very accurate in my description. I want to say first that I am relisting this car but in protest to the state of the title description "salvage". This is apparently required by Ebay because of the Autocheck report. This car has NOT been in ANY major accidents. If you look at the report it will verify that the vehicle has not had any accidents reported. The Arkansas title that I have is NOT a salvage title and it has been in Arkansas for 14 years and has never had a salvage title. Much to my suprise today when the initial auction was ended I did some checking into the history. Apparently this car was stolen in 1998 with 28,000 miles on it. It was recovered with very little damage just mostly more miles put on it, actually I was told the key scratch on the hood was the major part of the damage and a depressed owner. Since the insurance company paid off on the car it had to be sold through a salvage auction in Kansas. Please feel free to have anyone inspect this car and you will find it just as it is desribed here. I apologize for my previous ad not disclosing this information but it has all come to me today. This car is 21 years old. This event happened 14 years ago. Based on my knowledge of the car and the information I recieved today I feel this should have little effect on the desire for this car but that is strictly my opinion. I hope you will find my description to be very thorough. This car is a nice car it does have a few flaws. I am not an expert so please ask questions. It does have a new convertible top that is only 1 year old. It also has a new set of tires that have approximately 1,000 miles on them. The paint color is Guards red and has black leather interior. The paint is in fantastic shape. According to reference information I have seen it has the original fenders and paint because it does have the textured paint along the wheel lip openings. The paint is not faded and has a nice shine to it. The imperfections are as follows: key scratch on hood approximately 6-8 inches long and has been touched up (see pictures), the lower portion of front bumper has multiple rock chips and most of those have been touched up as well (see pictures). I can have front bumper painted for $200 here locally but chose not to before selling in fear of someone assuming other damage. The mirrors have a few bug-rocks chips that have been touched up. The interior is in nice shape as well. It does not have any rips or tears. The leather has normal wear and slight cracking but no fade or discoloration. The carpets are in great shape and the original floor mats are with it as well. It has had the original stereo replaced with a nice Blaupunkt stereo with remote control. Everything works on the inside. The automatic rear spoiler works as it should and you can also adjust it manually with the electric switch inside. The AWD drive works as it should and the differential can be locked or unlocked with the electric switch inside (see pictures). The brake light and ABS light will come on occasionally at start up. It was diagnosed as a brake sensor and I am told it is a $6-700 repair, most of that being the part cost. We do not have a Porsche dealer here locally so has not been done. The air conditioning works and cools fairly well but could use a recharge for it cycles not as cool than other times. I typically drive with top down so not a big deal to me. The new electric top works perfect just as it should. The 5 speed manual transmission works very well also and clutch feels great and all the gears are solid. The power windows and locks work well. The dash is in great shape and has no cracks or imperfections. The tach guage does have some slight spider webbing that you can only see at night when the dash lights are on. The car does have the owners manual, service booklet, leather pouch, owners card and faceplate box. The engine is very sound and purrs down the road. I have been very impressed with how well this car runs and drives, it is extremely solid. The engine compartment is dry from oil leaks (see pictures) and it only leaks a very, very small amount IF it sits a long time. It does not leak at all sitting overnight. By the way the car is parked and stored inside. The underneath of the car is dry except on the right side you can see a small amount of oil residue on the engine shield underneath (see pictures). The shocks are good and strong on the engine cover and pop right up when released. All the lights are in good shape and do not have any cracks. The front cargo area is in good shape as well. The carpet looks good but a few of the snaps that hold it in place have torn away from the carpet (see pictures). The carpet still holds in place well. When you pull the carpet away the body looks good and not altered in any way. The original air pump, tools and spare are all intact. The original factory spec sheet is still present under the front bonnet (see pictures). The convertible top cover is also present and in great shape. When you look underneath the car it does NOT have any gouges or scuffs. The wheels are in great shape and do not have any curb scuffs. The last owner owned this car for twelve years and took great care of it. This car is a very solid car that drives and performs well. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability but feel free to schedule a inspection or contact me with any questions and I will do my best answering them for you. Thanks for looking and good luck on owning this GREAT car!!!
