I've decided to sell my `72 230/8. It was a private import that arrived with a 2.3 litre six, 4-speed floor shift, wind-up windows, no AC or power steering and cloth seats. I found it at a self-service junkyard in California hence the salvage title. The dashboard is perfect and the headliner is good. The seats can use a re-trim and the carpets and pads are there but tired. The brakes have been rebuilt and it has new subframe mounts, a new front window seal and a new exhaust. The car starts beautifully and I have no issues with the Zeinith carbs. The floors are solid, but there is rust in the trunk and in the rear 1/4 panels. There is also some corrosion under the battery. This car has been my daily driver for the past year and I wouldn't hesitate driving it anywhere.
