This is a very nice 1959 DKW SP1000 .. The paint is original .. When this car is done it is a real head turner !!! This car is completely un-restored and not been taken apart with the exception of the motor and seats taken out .. I was keeping this wonderful example to do a full frame off restoration and show it at the high end car shows .. But, a calling has directed me to sell all my cars ... As you can see in the photos the body is exceptionally strait .. the glass is all good . There is a little rust in the rocker box that runs along the lower underneath part of the body and just a little in the rear upper fender wells ( just above the rear tires ) I am a old time professional body ..and to me the body is a very easy one to repair and bring to top show quality . The floors look very nice with only a couple of minor spots of repair .. The trunk should only need a little work directly under the fuel tank . This car was equipped with some nice options that were not standard .. !- fully adjustable seats .. with lots of chrome . 2- the big 2 barrel carburetor and intake . I have several new old stock parts for it ..some of items are all nos instruments .... the list would be long ..so if you call me I can go over the list with you .. I have manuals also . If the car sells with the BUY IT NOW I will also include in this auction the motor to be rebuilt with many nos parts .. that is over a $2,000.00 value ! I have rebuilt 8 of these motors in the last two years .. and they all run great !!! one of the cars that I built a motor for was the DKW Universal that sold at the auction at over 50K . To my knowledge the only missing parts are : 1- fan support ( I found one in Germany ) 2- one tail light lens ( I found three in Germany ) 3- SP1000 emblem on the rear of the body 4- I have the jack & handle and spark plug wrench ..but some of the other tools are missing ..
