Vehicle Detail
1969 AMC AMX 390 Automatic Leather (Black) Interior BITTERSWEET ORANGE YES I run this listing once before BUT the High WINNING BIDDER NEVER showed up to see or pick up the car after waiting over a month he decided he didnt want the car HIS LOSS IS YOUR GAIN BUT PLEASE DO NOT JACK me around here time is an issue I work on the road and dont have time for hassles I am listing this car HONESTLY and will answer any and all QUESTIONS Here is a BARN FIND from Ohio. I got a call that a guy had this sitting in his barn, It had been sitting since 1997, I was looking for a project at the time, and when I got to see the car I said wow it sure wouldnt take much to make this a NICE CAR. to this day I truly believe that is still true. this car needs very little to be a fantastic car for someone. But our lives tend to change as we all know. I bought this with a woman in mind to take to shows with me after I had it all done BUT. she is now gone and I dont need more projects ( Have too many as it is) . I also Travel for work and do not have the time I use to have to tinker on projects, so I am going to OFFER this one up for auction. There will be NO Dissapointments this car is listed as honest as I can. and you are more than welcome to ask any and all questions as well but remember I will post all questions of Value so others dont have to ask the same. this is a basically ORIGINAL 1969 Bittersweet Go-Pack 390 Car. I purchased this car in 2010 when the snow was flying. ( see the first pictures that are included It was buried in a bar under all kinds of things that were stacked on top of it. spent over 2 hours moving stuff just to get it out of the barn. it was not running when I got it. but have had it running since. Needs: Carb re-built fuel tank drained and cleaned I would do some brake work if I kept it Carpet Kit slight body work and re-paint appears to have a MACO paint job Go-pack stripe package there is a soft spot on the Passengers side behind the seat ( easy FIX ) Trunk has 2 very minor rust spots that are thru the rest is solid as a rock and just some time dedicated to it to make it a very nice show piece Positive notes: the Leather seats were just redone before the guy parked it in 1997 59,322 ORIGINAL MILES FULLY DOCUMENTED ! Interior is exceptionally Nice for a car 43 years old dash, speaker cover and instrument panel ALL gages work even the clock in about 2 weeks time you can have yourself a driver or a few months a very nice piece to show off with. the W tag is still on the Valve coved Hooded instrument cover ( extremely rare ) Door Tag Info: R046054 6939-7 931L 79A This car in 98% complete very few items to get if you want a totally stock division car. I have had it up and down the driveway but never on the road. this could be a very nice car spending very little time and effort but my interest have changed and I want to focus on other things, this car deserves a GOOD HOME and for someone to put this beauty back to her Original state and be proud of what the invested very little into. we have all seen the 69 AMX go for some good money but I basically just need my investment back. This car is for sale Locally and I do reserve the Right to pull the auction at any time if it should sell locally. MY TERMS like it or not I am sorry. NO TIRE KICKERS I require a $250.00 Pay-pal Payment with-in 48 hours of auctions end. Balance Due in Cash when Car is picked up. car can only be picked up on Saturdays or Sunday ( Early) I do have a notary public that I can have do the title work near by. this payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. ask your questions or come take a look. I have a friend that has offered to show the car for me as I am out traveling for work. This car should easily meet the reserve. the worth is much more in my eyes than my reserve. the way I see it is $6000.00 would make this a nice show car and worth every bit of $26000 when finished. so if you are looking for a cheap start in a muscle car or piece of American History HERE IT IS One more very interesting NOTE : the AMX's were numbered on the dash this number is Very Unique and specially since it is a Survivor. AMX number is 13666 how can 2 of the most noted unlucky numbers run together and still be a survivor? that Number alone is worth talking about at a car show to fellow car people. the missing numbers some people are looking for are 312 I also had another question I forgot to post it that may be important. this car must be Hauled to its new destination. as I stated I would totally redo the brakes if I was to keep it and the second part of that question was about the holes in the trunk I spoke of..... the 2 holes are around the Rear bumper support on the drivers side one is approx 3 1/2 " X 3/4" and the other is about the size of a NICKLE This car will RUN to load on a trailer it is hooked to a Quart bottle to keep from running through the tank
