Vehicle Detail
1999 Ford Taurus SHO White with Tan leather interior. 95k Miles 3.4 Liter DOHC V8 (Yes, Cams ARE welded.) Automatic. A little about the car: It runs EXCELLENT, and shifts great. The Exterior is definitely a 10 footer. I don't think the previous owner EVER washed the car. I have Washed , waxed, compounded and clayed the car, and It's the best it's going to get without a paint job. It's still shiny, but once you get up close, you can see lots of imperfections. The trunk and bumper in the rear have some touch up paint on them. There is a dent/scrape in the rear quarter. Can see in picture. (not bad) The car is NOT a rust box. There is some minor rust on the inner portions of the doors, this is common on gen 3Tauruses, but overall the car has no body rust. The interior is Fair to good. The drivers seat has some cracking and wear, but the rest of the seats and the carpet are in good shape. With a shampoo, the carpet would be perfect. All electronics work great. Radio sounds good and has a Line in mod for your ipod or whatever device. All windows, power seats, and sunroof work just fine. It has a TON of recent work done: Within the past 2 months: New Kumho Ecsta Z rated Tires New wheels (old wheels were pitted and peeling.) New OEM Struts and strut mounts all around. (Sachs OE replacements in the front. These are very difficult to find and were 299 a piece.) New Springs in rear. New Brakes all around, New rotors in front. New Ball joints, swaybar endlinks, and wheel bearings (front) A/C serviced and leak fixed. A/C Blows ICE cold. New FORD alternator. (This is a nightmare to replace, and the cheapy autozone one that was in there when I bought it only lasted a year. Didn't want to go through that again.) New Ignition Coils and Spark Plugs New Magnaflow Y-pipe with high flow cats. Exhaust sounds great! New Headlight lenses. Old ones were yellowed and drove me nuts. Transmission was rebuilt 2500 miles ago. I have the receipt, however it's out of warranty, was only warrantied for 1 year / 12,000 miles. No issues since though, shifts perfectly . Cams are welded. Previous owner says Kirk at NESHO did this, but I have no way of verifying. I can, however, say that the welds are clean and neat, and whoever did it did a good job. All in all this is a good daily driver. Not a show car by any means, but still alot better than most that I see. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this anywhere. My reserve is low, hell it doesn't even cover the cost of the repairs in the past year.
